Well, I wouldn't say "no power," but limited, yes it is. I didn't feel very confident on the highway with this bike - a combination of lack of higher speed passing power and the light weight that gets blown around a bit. My solution? After only a month of ownership I traded up to a Suzuki 800 Intruder. A very similar bike in look, low seat and narrow frame, but worlds different in power and top end speed. The extra 90 lbs. makes a big difference in stability in cross winds too.
I thought the Savage was a lot of fun, but even with a Supertrapp exhaust it didn't have quite the balls I was looking for. I put a jet kit and Vance & Hines pipes on my Intruder and ho** sh** the thing is so quick its scary.
